SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) is the Staff Selection Commission’s exam for graduate-level posts in central ministries, departments and offices. Tier 1 is the computer-based screening paper: you have to clear its cut-off to reach Tier 2.

ExamForge gives you free, timed full-length mock tests in the Tier 1 format: 100 questions in four sections of 25 (Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English). Each question is explained after you submit. Your first three sets need no signup.

The question banks are in English only. Several of the later mock tests reuse questions from the earlier ones, with some numbers changed, so use them for repeated timing practice rather than as new material each time. Sets give you one minute per question, which is more time than the real 60 minutes, and they do not deduct marks for wrong answers.

There is no sectional time limit. ExamForge sets do not deduct marks, so to rehearse the real scoring, take 0.50 off for each wrong answer yourself. Tier 2 is not covered.

Preparation tips

  • Practise against the clock

The real paper gives you about 36 seconds a question. Time yourself to 60 minutes even though the set allows longer.

  • Treat negative marking as a tax

A wrong answer costs a quarter of a correct one. Answer when you can rule out at least two options.

  • Review explanations

After each set, read the explanation for every question you got wrong or guessed.

Common questions

Is there negative marking in ExamForge sets?

No. The real Tier 1 deducts 0.50 mark per wrong answer, so apply that to your score yourself.

Are the questions available in Hindi?

No. This question bank is in English only.

Do the mock tests repeat questions?

Yes. Mock tests 5 to 10 largely reuse questions from tests 1 to 4, so the bank holds about four tests’ worth of distinct material.

Is ExamForge free?

Yes. Your first three sets need no account; create a free account to keep practising and keep your history.
