Agniveer is the Indian Army’s recruitment route for soldiers under the Agnipath scheme: Agniveer General Duty (GD), Technical, Clerk and Store Keeper Technical, and Tradesmen. Selection starts with the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE), after which shortlisted candidates take the physical and medical tests.

ExamForge gives you 10 free, timed practice sets of 47 to 50 questions each, built around General Knowledge, General Science and Mathematics. Every question has an explanation after you submit. The question bank is in English only. Your first three sets need no signup.

The real CEE deducts marks for wrong answers in most categories. ExamForge does not, so after each set take off the penalty from the current notice for every wrong answer to see your exam-style score.

Exam pattern

For Agniveer General Duty the CEE is an objective paper over three subject areas. Other categories use the same style with different subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry and Maths for Technical.

The subject split and the exact penalty differ between recruitment notices, so treat the table as a guide. ExamForge’s sets are mixed rather than sectional, so each one tests all three areas together.

Age
Between 17½ and 21 years on the date given in the notice.

Selection process

Selection runs in this order.

  1. Online registration

Register and choose your recruitment office and category on the Army’s website.

  2. Common Entrance Examination

The computer-based test above, held at centres across the country.

  3. Physical fitness and measurement tests

Shortlisted candidates take the running, pull-up, balance and ditch tests, followed by measurements.

  4. Medical examination and merit list

Candidates who pass the physical tests go to a medical, and the final merit list is based on the CEE score.

Preparation tips

  • Start from your NCERT books

Class 8 to 10 Science and Maths cover most of the paper, so master formulas and units before you try harder material.

  • Revise current affairs weekly

Defence news, awards and sports results are easy marks if you read them regularly.

  • Practise 50 questions in an hour

Sit a full ExamForge set under the timer and see how many you can finish with time left to review.

  • Prepare for the physical test early

The written exam is only the first stage, so train in parallel.
